Redline Announced today that its 800 Revolt and 800 Mountain Revolt will be available for immediate ordering and delivery this fall/winter. Powering the pair of sleds will be Redline's own, 800cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder, 2-stroke engine with case reed induction and twin Mikuni 38mm flat slide carbs.
Redline reports that the engine has been tested extensively in horsepower configurations of 120hp to 160hp and determined the single pipe version with about 135hp and its broad power band to be the most suitable for the application.
"The performance and handling of the new 800 have far exceeded our expectations," noted Redline's Chris Rodewald. "Our extensive engineering and R&D time has paid huge dividends by producing a chassis and drivetrain that is so efficient that we achieve a higher level of track horsepower than previously thought possible. As a result, the new 800 Revolt is nimble under even the worst trail conditions, yet pulls like a beast when you hit the lake.
Mountain riders will be interested to learn that we are currently testing 141" tracks with awesome track speed. There is no doubt that the 800 REVOLT and 800 Mountain REVOLT will be the most sought after sleds on the snow in 2001."
