THUNDER BAY TO WHITE BEAR LAKE INTERNATIONAL 500
The I-500 is the only international cross-country race in the U.S. It typically draws a field of 200 to 300 drivers. This year, the cap is set at 300 drivers who will compete for the more than $100,000 in cash and prizes which will be awarded.
Man and machine are expected to test their endurance during this 500 mile race. The International 500 snowmobile race will run from Thunder Bay, Ontario to White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The race will begin in Thunder Bay on Sunday, January 23, 1994.
On the first day, drivers will head south to Grand Marais where they will spend the night. Then it's on to Duluth via the North Shore State Trail. Once in Duluth, the drivers will spend the night before heading to White Bear Lake on January 25th.
