Balance is Key
This is it; we have arrived at that new level everyone is talking about. Balance is the key word, and Fusion instills confidence. The extra development time has paid off for the engineers in Roseau. The IQ IFS does everything right from carving tight corners to stabilizing the top end. The rear suspension geometry delivers the right weight transfer, and the shock calibration offers a wide comfort zone.

I also had a chance to try the Walker Evans shock package, and with the handlebars in a forward position I could hold a good pace through miles of rough moguls that had beat me up earlier in the day on other sleds. If you like to charge hard on rough trails, this package will give you an edge.

The adjustable handlebars are nice, but you end up using it less than you think. It works well to adjust into an optimal position, but once there I did not feel comfortable with any other position even while riding more aggressively. I think the best part of this feature is that any size driver can find a position that fits his driving style, and it helps you take advantage of the chassis balance.

When you talk to the Polaris development engineers, they are enthusiastic and proud of their creation. They have good reason to be, it is hard to find a weak point with this new sled, and in my opinion it is well worthy of representing Polaris on its 50th.
