olaris has signed on as the official snowmobile sponsor of the 2003 Cross Country Way Out Women Relay event, scheduled for January 11 to March 1.
The Event is an awareness and fund raising campaign for Breast Cancer research. Donations will be taken before and during the ride. Anyone can register for a pledge sheet and join the ride, which extends from St. Johns, Newfoundland, to Squamish, British Columbia. Pledges may also be collected by those not participating in the ride at all. For every $250 collected, registered participants will receive one chance at a new 2003 Polaris 550 Classic.
As the ride crosses Canada, local VIPs will be invited to join the WOW team on sleds provided by Polaris. Women involved with Breast Cancer Research, breast cancer survivors, media personnel and political leaders committed to finding a cure for breast cancer will be invited to participate in the VIP ride.
"This is a great opportunity for snowmobile enthusiasts to team together to fight this devastating disease," said Penny Mahon, Ride Coordinator for the WOW Relay. "A cure must be found."
To find more information, or to register for a pledge sheet, stop by the Polaris website and go to the WOW Relay page.
