polaris to costar with discovery channels monster garage

The Discovery Channel will air an episode of Monster Garage on Monday, February 24 at 8 pm EST in which host Jesse James transforms a 2002 Mini Cooper into a snowmobile. The Cooper will then race NASCAR star and Polaris enthusiast Richard Petty and his Pro X2 at the Petty Ranch in Jackson, Wyoming.
Polaris product manager Matt Lube advised James and his transformation team in the conversion process, using Polaris components. Featured on the Cooper will be a pair of Liberty 800 engines, Polaris clutching and Vertical Escape 159-inch tracks.
"Polaris is the world's leading snowmobile manufacturer, so it is a natural fit for Monster Garage to use Polaris parts, innovation and expertise to transform the Cooper," said Lube. "It was great working with Jesse and the build team and utilizing my knowledge of snowmobiles in the transformation."
