Polaris Industries has announced a third quarter earnings increase of 17% compared to the same period last year. The quarter, ending Sept. 30, 2005, was the 30th consecutive quarter of increased sales for the Minn.-based company.
Snowmobile sales were up 10% in the third quarter, which the company attributes to shipment timing and an increased price per unit. Year-to-date, Polaris says its snowmobile sales are 4% higher than last year. Parts, garments and accessories sales are up 8%, while ATV sales are up 4% and Victory Motorcycles are up 45%.
Polaris also reports record net income from continuing operations with $100.4 million so far this fiscal year, compared to a net income of $89.1 million at this time last year.
