Polaris Way Out Women (WOW) cancel charity event
The Polaris Way Out Women (WOW) Relay for 2006 has been cancelled due to a smaller than anticipated number of riders expressing interest in the event.
The event - with proceeds to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - was set to be a cross-country state-to-state relay across the upper Midwest. An overwhelming response was seen from several states but there was little to no response from some other states.
Polaris' WOW planning committee is planning on holding the event in 2007 and hope that the head-start on next year's event will solicit a greater response. Interested women can call 763-542-0576 or go to the 'Riders' area on Polaris' website.
