Polaris announced publicly today that it has issued a voluntary recall on some of its 1999 Scrambler, Sport and Xplorer 400 units as well as some 2000 Scrambler and Xplorer 400s. The problem is that the throttles may stick on these models and not allow the machine to decelerate when the flipper is released. To date, there have been 26 reports of problems with the throttles, resulting in 17 reported crashes with six consumers sustaining injuries.

Consumers should stop using these units and schedule a free appointment with their local dealer to correct the problem.
