Quiet Revolution
The first thing that comes to people's minds when someone talks about piping their sled is finding noisy tuners. Years ago that was true, aftermarket exhaust systems were quite loud on a whole. Half of the prestige of owning a muscle sled was when it sounded as tough as it ran. But nowadays quiet is in, and you do not have to make noise to make horsepower.
Many states have adopted noise regulations to keep the noise levels down on the trail systems. This has forced the aftermarket exhaust manufacturers to shift gears and come up with a quiet stock-like exhaust decibel level that still makes decent horsepower and torque. The aftermarket industry as a whole has banded together to combat this problem head-on- and it has succeeded. The performance manufacturers have come up with some great products that are quiet and produce intimidating horsepower. Let's talk a little about what they are producing these days.
