The International Freestyle Snocross Association announced July 26 that "Nitro" Nate Haag has been awarded a full sponsorship ride from the IFSA based on his efforts at the 2004 FSX summer training camp.

"The whole FSX Team is excited that Nate has been selected and in turn has accepted the invitation to receive the full sponsorship program as a new rider to the FSX National Tour," said event manager, Brian Sharenow.

Nate has performed with the Excon Free-ride group for the last few years. He was chosen from a group of riders who attended the FSX summer camp July 8-11 in Westmeath, Ont.

"To have such a young, up-and-coming talent like Nate Haag join the National Tour will definitely add a new level to the sport of FSX this season," said IFSA CEO Grant Reeves, in a press release. "We are excited to see what Nate will deliver this season on his 2005 Arctic Cat SnoPro."

"I am stoked about joining the FSX Tour. And with the chance to train and learn from Tim Needles, Ryan Britt and the other FSX National riders, I plan to make the podium regularly," Haag said, according to the release.

In additional news from IFSA, Polaris has extended its contract with the IFSA to support freestyle snocross competitor Ryan Britt. Britt is from Valdez, Alaska. According to a press release, "the goal of both Polaris and Britt is to capture the 2004-2005 FSX Freestyle Championship. "

"Ryan Britt has proven to be a first class, professional athlete in snowmobile freestyle competition, both on and off the snow. He represents the Polaris brand in a tremendously exciting way and he always has time to visit with his fans. Ryan's quiet, humble personality, combined with his aggressive, 'go for broke' approach to every jump has resulted in winning over audiences across North America. We're excited to see how Ryan will do this season on the all-new 2005 Polaris Racer, which will be unveiled at Hay Days," said Polaris snowmobile marketing communications manager Ted Smokstad.
