new skidoo belt

Amsnow
Ski-Doo is making a new belt available for the XP REV Summit line. The belt is made of a harder compound and is 1mm wider and 4mm shorter.

According to Ski-Doo, this belt will resist high temperatures caused by clutch compression (experienced by all drive belts), and it will not soften and stretch due to heat.

Ski-Doo also recommends owners of 146-inch and 154-inch XP Summits, those who pile through deep powder, change their gear ratios. For the 146, change the gears from its 23/45 to a 21/45; and for the 154, change it from a 21/45 to a 19/45; the 163 is OK with the factory setting, but can benefit from the new belt.

Talk with your dealer for the details.

Top speed may be reduced, but overall deep snow performance and belt life should improve with the new belt.
