Naubinway, Mich., will once again be host to the largest antique snowmobile show in the state. The "Top of the Lake Snowmobile Show & Ride" will be held on the weekend of Feb. 16th. Come experience the glory days of snowmobiling and see some of the first snowmobiles ever made.
Last year there were well over 200 antique, unique, classic or vintage snowmobiles displayed. This year, even more are expected for the main show on Saturday. As the new name implies, Naubinway's Antique and Vintage Snowmobile Show has become a two part event as well.
The main show is on Saturday and on Friday there is a ride. The Hus-Ski Hustle will return, which is an event geared towards Hus-Skis maneuvering through an obstacle course.
Saturday is the main show, beginning at about 10 a.m. and running until about 3 p.m. During that time, the snowmobiles will be lining the downtown area of Naubinway. This year, 3-cylinders snowmobiles will be featured.
Naubinway's brand new Snowmobile Museum will be open as well. Called the Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum, this is the first museum in Michigan.
One last thing that must be mentioned is that there is no entry fee and all persons who bring a sled to display will receive a free hat courtesy of the Naubinway/Engadine Merchants Association. There are also commemorative buttons for sale which help offset the costs involved with the show and raise money for other community events.
