All four brands were well represented at this year's Mountain Mod Ride … and that's news!
This wasn't always the case in the past. The 2003 Mountain Mod Ride was the first time that Cats and Yamahas made as strong a showing as Polaris sleds.
While Polaris may argue the point, this is great news for the industry. Now the aftermarket companies are making hay with all the mountain brands, and the OEMs are selling sleds to the performance hungry folks in the West. That's not all. This year we noticed another trend - wild trick sleds designed for masterful boondocking. This year's AmSnow Mountain Mod Ride was in Preston, Idaho, where we had two days of fresh, light and deep snow to test this group of mod sleds.
