motoloo claims comfort

The Moto-Loo snowmobile line was manufactured by Industries GLB 200 Incorporated in Ste. Marie, Quebec, in the late 1960s. There were five models available the year this picture represents: the Monza 312 and 340 as well as the Daytona 340, 440 and SS. All of the models featured a twin-cylinder CCW engine, with the exception of the Monza 312, which was a single cylinder. Horsepower ranged from 19.5 in the 312 model to 49hp in the Daytona SS. Tillotson was the carburetor of choice, and all models offered electric start, except the Daytona SS, which came with manual start only.

Speedometer, tachometer and temperature gauges were optional on the Monza 312, 340 and Daytona 340, but standard on the Daytona 440 and SS.

The manufacturer claimed that Moto-Loo snowmobiles provided "comfortable seating for two," but, personally, I have never experienced true two-up comfort from a snowmobile built in this era. A person riding "shotgun" usually could count on a trip to the chiropractor the next day.
