more than sleds
Amsnow
After spending a hot dusty weekend at Hay Days in Minnesota and a damp weekend in Martin, Mich., for our Super Sled Shootout and the MSA’s All-Sports Show and Swap Meet I’ve been reminded of something. We all spend a load of time, effort and money on upgrading our sleds, hauling them and then dressing appropriately for our winter rides.
The fun we muster from our snowmobiles of course is the backbone of what we do and the reason we do all those other things. But it takes more than a good sled to create a great winter riding experience. We need stout trailers that work without fail and warm gear that’ll last to keep us enjoying snowmobiling each winter. Naturally, for the more race-minded or rambunctious among us, performance enhancing parts and accessories also turn up the wick and light our fires.
Each issue we compare a number of sleds, write reviews of new sleds or last year’s models that we rode for an entire season. That never changes. But from time to time, as in this issue, you see more new products, whether it be trailers and clothes, or gifts you can give your favorite snowmobiler for the upcoming holidays. Some of these we’ve tested too, and we’ll let you know what’s worthy of spending your hard-earned cash on.
So read on and see what’s new that can help you improve your snowmobiling experience as we all dive headlong into the season.
Let’s get out there and have a great winter, and remember to take a friend with you. They’ll thank you for it every winter from this day forward!
