montanas les green to repeat his multiple sclerosis charity ride

Amsnow
Last year, Les Green became the first man living with multiple sclerosis (MS) to snowmobile nearly 500 miles from the southern border of Canada to the southern border of Montana as part of the charity ride. No one with MS has crossed Montana twice on a snowmobile, Green wants to be that man.

Green, of Bozeman, Montana, will be returning to the challenge this year by riding as part of the TransMontana 2001 Snowmobile Charity ride.

Formerly a snowmobile tour guide and mechanic in West Yellowstone, Green's condition has improved with lifestyle changes and drug therapy that reduces the frequency of his relapses.

"Last year, I was determined to finish each day," said Green. "Even if I was the slowest rider, it was important for me to complete the ride and show people that MS couldn't stop me!"

Green, diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS in December 1993, will begin his second journey from the Canadian border to the southern Montana border beginning January 14 and will complete the charity ride January 19 at Raynolds Pass in West Yellowstone.

We at American Snowmobiler wish Les Green the best of luck on his journey.
