Installation
Paul Waters, from Rigby, Idaho is a 'Doo afficionado. He drooled at the mouth to install the yellow add-ons.
Added to the Summit HMX, was a yellow mudflap, belly pan protector, skis, pull rope handle, hood screens and handlebar cover. To you the reader, this sled was different. It was tough looking - bad to the bone.
The installation took about four hours, with the most complicated install being the belly pan protector and skis. Other than that, time well spent for the snow show.
Non Ski-Doo items added later, again in yellow, were handlebar hooks, a Dave Clark rear tunnel fuel rack and a windshield bag. All of these, except for the windshield bag, are standard for 2002. Gotta like it.
The point is: you do not have to shop outside your dealer to buy cool looking stuff for your snowmobile - visit your dealer.
From an AmSnow reader's poll, almost forty-three percent of 'bilers confessed they buy aftermarket parts, such as cosmetics from their local snowmobile dealership.
Lastly, as AmSnow's Summit passed the crowds dressed up with Ski-Doo's add-ons, it seemed as though other 'bilers would stand at attention and salute as the AmSnow Summit HMX ripped on by.
