military to take to the trails

Amsnow
Tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 2nd, a select group of military personnel, active duty, reservists and retirees will be enjoying a 100 mile snowmobile tour across the lakes and forests of three Wisconsin counties. The ride will start and end at the World Championship Derby Track in Eagle River.

This is a venture of the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC) and the International Snowmobile Manufactures Association (ISMA).

The intent of this ride is to honor those who have served or are presently serving our country and to thank them for their service. Group size will be limited to about 30 participants. Snowmobiles and all the necessary equipment for the ride will be supplied, as well as gas for the machines, lunch on the trail and a dinner in the evening.

It is hoped that this ride will serve as a model for other states to follow in setting up their own ride for the military in their part of the country.
