May 5, 2005- - The Michigan state House voted yesterday to support a bill dropping the legal alcohol limit to .08 for those riding snowmobiles, boats and off-road vehicles in the state. Currently the limit is .10, while the limit for cars and trucks is .08.
The three-bill measure, which now moves to the Michigan Senate, passed the House in a 107-3 vote. Representatives who voted against the measure are Democrats Doug Bennett of Muskegon and Virgil Smith and Bill McConico of Detroit. The measures are House Bills 4614-16.
