michigan dwi will apply to snowmobilers

Amsnow
As of October 1, 2000, Michigan snowmobilers who are arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs will have "points" applied to their drivers license.

These points will carry the same weight as points issued while driving an automobile. If there are too many points on a drivers license, either from a snowmobile or traffic offense, it may be revoked. The points can also be applied for other off-road vehicle violations.

The DNR in Michigan patrols trails, roads and winter festivals encouraging safety and trying to catch drivers under the influence of alcohol.

Points vary according to the severity of the offense.
