Injector Replacement on Crossfire
Q:
My 2007 Arctic Cat Crossfire 500, which only has 700 miles on it, was running poorly, and when I took it to the shop they said it had two bad injector assemblies and a bad ignition sensor – more than $1K in parts. They said they very rarely see bad injectors, and when I asked if this year and model were known to have reliability problems, they said no. I am wondering if anything could have occurred that would damage these. – Cacat rider

A: It’s rare to see any injector issues on these Cats. As for the ignition sensor ... we suspect they may be referring to the “pick-up.” We would bet that it is more possible that the stator could be your issue and not the injectors. – Experts
