The International Snowmobile Racing Hall of Fame, located in St. Germain, Wisconsin, has been discussing a possible merger with the other snowmobile hall of fame located in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

According to Loren Anderson, President of the ISRHOF, "There have been ongoing discussions about a merger for the last two years, we have formed a committee to put the merger into writing."

The committee's proposal is to be considered this summer. Members of the ISRHOF feel that one hall in one location is the best for snowmobile clubs, race associations, inductees and contributors and corporate sponsors of the organization. The St. Germain group is committed to the expansion of the Hall of Fame and is going ahead with plans to induct recreational snowmobilers in the year 2002 with or without the merger.

The International Snowmobile Hall of Fame in St. Germain will be breaking ground during the summer of 2000 for phase one of the new facility to replace the leased space presently occupied by the HOF.
