The weekend of February 22, 2002, the International Snowmobile Hall of Fame (ISHOF) will hold its 13th Induction Ceremony recognizing and honoring two very deserving individuals from the International snowmobiling community for their dedication and accomplishments to the sport of snowmobiling.

ISHOF will induct Tom Anderson, from Madison, Wisconsin, and Bud (Ernol) Knapp from Cedar Springs, Michigan. They will be among 51 other inducted members to have received this prestigious honor.

Induction ceremonies and banquet will take place at the Sawmill Inn, Grand Rapids, Minnesota, February 23, 2002.

The entire weekend will be filled with snowmobile related activities. North America's largest Groomer show and on-snow demonstrations, co-sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and ISHOF will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 22nd and 23rd. Displayed will be trail groomers, drags, along with grooming implements for snowmobile and Ski trails.

The Antique Snowmobile Club of America (ASCOA) and the Vintage Snowmobile Club of America (VSCA) will have a display of fine old snow-machines from the past. The public is asked to join in a ride with these old snowmobiles, which will be escorted by the local Sheriffs Snowmobile Patrol of Itasca County.

The Allen Hetteen award, Sponsored by American Snowmobiler & AmSnow Online, and the International Snowmobile Groomer Operator award for the Year 2002, sponsored by Arctic Cat, will be presented Saturday evening during the banquet.

For the second year, The International Snowmobile Hall of Fame in cooperation with the Antique and Vintage Snowmobile Clubs, will host a Ride with the Legends. Sponsored again this year, by COLD WAVE. The ride will give you a chance to meet the snowmobiling LEGENDS of the past, along with the opportunity to visit Mount Itasca and the New Olympic Biathlon training area, and travel so the many miles of Minnesota snowmobile trails.

The International Snowmobile Hall of Fame was founded to honor those snowmobilers who have made significant contributions to the sport and to preserve the spirit and history that has made snowmobiling such a popular winter time activity.
