STEP 4: On the other side, you need to remove the brake assembly on the driveshaft. Take off the outer brake cover and the rotor should be visible. Look through the holes toward the center of the rotor to locate the brake mounting bolts and remove them. This rotor is pressed on and is difficult to remove, there is a special puller tool from BRP (part no. 529-036-145) to pull the brake rotor and caliper off as an assembly. It is possible to remove this assembly without the tool, but it is a lot easier with the tool.
