Update
Holtzman Engineering has just released new springs that go into the constant velocity (CV) carbs found on the Yamaha RX-1. CV carbs use a slide throttle in combination with a butterfly throttle to control the air fuel flow to an engine.

The slide position is established by a vacuum operating on a diaphragm to raise the slide and by a slide spring, which tends to keep the slide closed.

There are three different springs for the CV carbs, which are identified by color; these are matched to a range of altitudes. Green will be for sea level to 4,000 feet. Yellow for 4,000 feet to 8,000 feet. The red are for 8,000 feet to 12,000 feet.

Holtzman Engineering states these springs, which are easy to install, show improved throttle response and up to a 1,000 rpm increase.
