How to use the BV2S Helmet
1. A traditional balaclava can't be worn, especially over the mouth, while using the helmet. If you're going to wear a balaclava wear it under the chin or wear the special balaclava designed for the BV2S.
2. The proper fit of the helmet is critical. The helmet should be tight over the head but comfortable when in place. Your head shouldn't move around inside the helmet. Here are the head sizes that correspond to the helmet size:
Small: 55-56cm
Medium: 57-28cm
Large: 59-60cm
Extra Large: 61-62cm
2XL: 63-64cm
3XL: 65-66cm
3. The absorbent filter must be in the correct position, with the Bombardier logo toward your face.
4. If you see fogging the size of a silver dollar starting at the bottom of the visor, just pull over and check to see if the intake valves are open. If they are, just pop them shut and continue on. If there is ice accumulation around the adjustment ring outlet, remove the adjustment ring and remove the ice.
5. Make sure the mask is positioned properly on your face. You should feel some pressure because it needs to fit snug. Remember the mask is telescopic and multi-adjustable.
6. When you close the visor, listen for two clicks. This will ensure a tight seal.
7. Remember to keep away from any heat source, fire pit or heater because heat can cause deformation of the mask.
