12. Bellypan And Skid Plate12a. There are two sets of rivets holding the bellypan in place-some on the top and some on the bottom. Start on the top. Again, whenever you see a rivet in the bellypan, drill it out. Continue to drill out allthe rivets until the flange comes out.
12b. Tip the sled up on its side.
12c. Drill out any rivets holding the skid plate in place. Removethe nut and bolt on front of the skid plate and slide it off. Inspect itand set it aside.
12d. Once the skid plate is removed, continue drilling out therivets on the bottom of the bellypan.
12e. When all the rivets are removed, before the bellypan canbe taken off, remove the rear bolt which connects the foot rest assemblyto the trailing arm. It is connected with a 5/8-inch bolt. Once the boltis removed, slide the rear of the trailing arm off. Repeat on opposite side.
12f. Pry the bellypan off with a screwdriver. It should come off easily.
Now that your sled is dismantled, carefully inspect each part in yourpile and determine which ones have to be replaced.
