Why do snowmobilers NEED a BIG garage or barn?
We all need someplace we can go to be with our sleds, ATV, bike, boat, etc. We need someplace we can have an icy cold beverage while talking with a good friend. We need a place to work on something to take our minds off the rest of our lives. We need someplace that doesn’t have to be politically correct… Dang it!
A garage is the place people are most likely to be themselves.
With that in mind, in this issue we have a dedicated garage and towing section that highlights a few products normal every-day sledheads might talk about in the man cave, or “liars club” as my grandma called it.
This issue has something for everyone as far as cool new products go, as this is our annual Gift Guide issue. You’ll find something for every snowmobiler on your gift list. Mom, dad, brother, and sister, even crazy Uncle Eddy will find something they want. We’ve got the good stuff too … these aren’t your lame “jelly of the month club” type gifts!
Being late fall we are all antsy to get on our sleds. So in this issue we’ve also got several test articles on sleds we got to ogle in our long-term demo-sled-garage last year. These include our mountain M800 and a turbo short-track from Cat, as well as our Ski-Doo Freeride and Renegade!
We’ll also go in depth on numerous 2014 sleds that you’ll WANT to have in your garage soon, if you haven’t already ordered one. Check out the trail crossovers comparo and the new Enduro-Venture do-it-all sleds in a bonus comparo.
Finally, attempting DIY projects on your sled can get pretty frustrating if you don’t know what you’re doing. Check out our Ask The Experts section for tips and see addtional experts’ tech articles on clutching and power valves.
Hopefully with all these products to try, tech info to use, and testing data to embellish while you’re bench racing with friends, you will have enough to keep you busy until the snow falls. Maybe you’ll even get to read this issue while sitting on your new sled in your favorite room of the house, the garage.
