Ski-Doo Shows Chrome and Race Sled at Haydays
Coming off a racing season where Ski-Doo teams won 75% of all sno-cross championships, the Canadians have no intention of sitting back and relaxing.
AmSnow was privy to the unveiling of the new and improved race veteran MX Zx 440, which got a new suspension for the 2004-5 season and many drivetrain improvements.
The new SC-4 suspension saves weight, takes on bumps better, and has an added inch of suspension stepping up to 14 inches. The drivetrain improvements include; new clutch calibration, MBL drive belt, stronger chain case, new bottom clutch gear, drive sprocket and engine control module with ignition calibration to produce more torque and power off the line.
Not only were announcements made about the sleds, but the guys that race them were also addressed. The biggest news was a new 3-year contract with Warnert Racing.
Also announced and displayed at Haydays was the 2005 Mach Z Ski-Doo Chopper promotional sled.
Consumers were able to register to win this awesome machine as well as its matching motorcycle brother at the event. The custom sled and motorcycle were detailed by Junior Motorcycles of Terrebonne, Quebec, and featured chrome from the springs to mirrors and matching custom paint jobs.
