groomer convoy in new york makes a point

AS: How many people/groomers/vehicles did you have in attendance?
Scott: When we got to central New York that is when the big groomers rolled in. We had at least 12 tractor-trailers with groomers on them, and a bunch of trucks with smaller groomers on trailers from the southern portion of the thruway. We all met at the Utica entrance to the thruway and waited for the convoy to pull in from the western portion of the state. We all headed out picking up more and more people at every entrance to the thruway all the way to Albany. By the time we were getting into Albany the convoy was a mile and a half long with snowmobilers and sleds also following us. I wanted the snowmobilers and sleds there to show that the users group was also in support of the registration raise, that was important.

When we got to the staging parking lot at the crossgate mall, we filled the smaller parking lot off to the side of the mall. It was an impressive site to see and the signs were all good ones for everyone to read. We went into the city as a convoy and all parked on State St. and the plaza for exposure. We had the whole front of the assembly building parked with groomers, and the smaller groomers went in the plaza.
