great lakes asphalt finale

 The Aaen Cup in asphalt racing was awarded to Ed Ensor. Ensor recorded the quickest E.T. at the Wisconsin Great Lakes Dragaway end of season snowmobile finale. Ensor ran an 8.78 E.T. with 147-mph top speed.

Ensor's best run for the season took place at Byron where he recorded 8.672 with a 150.95-mph top speed.
