Winter Driving School
Try Bridgestone's full throttle learning experience.
Located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, The Bridgestone Winter DrivingSchool was founded in 1983 and patterned after European ice driving schools.The school is in operation seven days a week beginning in early Decemberand wrapping up in March.
The school uses a "purpose-built" ice track that measures onemile in length and includes eight corners- banked, off cambered and withelevation changes. The track is snow-covered and coated with more than 80,000gallons of water. Snowbank guardrails allow you to make mistakes while providinga cushion for off-track excursions. The school supplies a variety of Blizzak-equippedfront, rear and all-wheel drive vehicles.
School attendees have ranged in age from 16 to 82 years. Those usingthe school to hone their driving skills include various law enforcementofficers from more than 20 states, Secret Service and FBI personnel, andprofessional racing drivers training for winter events.
