After 11 years of racing with Ski-Doo- from cross country endurance to snocross insanity- Tom Wolff announced his retirement Sept. 5 at a Ski-Doo press briefing prior to HayDays in Lino Lakes, MN. But, his snowmobile racing ties have not been severed. Wolff will now head up the Hentges Race Team in the role of coach.

Todd began racing in 1983, turning pro four years later. His career began to hit full throttle at the same time his brother Lauren was in the midst of his racing prime during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

In 1992, Todd was recognized as an up and coming star and was hired by Ski-Doo to lead their XC race program. He was valuable from the start with his abilities to communicate technically and provide feedback with factory technicians. His experience and expertise helped establish Ski-Doo's MXZ platform fame. More recently, Todd was a key development rider with the REV chassis.

Among Todd's achievements are back-to-back I-500 wins on the cross country circuit. In the snocross realm, he took home 11 wins, 20 top three finishes, more than 40 top five finishes, XC high-point title and an Eagle River World Championship.

Besides coaching, Todd is looking forward to spending more time at home with his wife Joleen, son Gavin and daughter Chloe.

"I'm very happy with my accomplishments and felt it was the right time to retire, on my own terms, and while I'm still healthy," he said in a press release.
