The Elkland Vintage Muscle Snowmobile Show , (EVMSS) is currently the largest vintage show and swap meet in the Twin Tiers of north central Pennsylvania and south central New York.
The accent of this show is on parts swapping and the showing of vintage racers and trail machines from about 1966 to 1981. Pre 1966 Antique sleds are also welcome.
Last year was the inaugural event and with very little advertisement we had 55 entries, and ten large parts swappers arrive. We had over 20 vintage Snopro and big bore old Class V oval racers in the mix.
Highlight machines were such rarities as the 1971 AMF 800 XX racer, the 73 Formula II 290 Cat, an immaculate Rupp Nitro LC, two twin track Raiders and enough EXT's and Z's to make Larry Coltom feel at home. Oldest sleds there were early 60's Polaris, Cat's and a 65 Ski-Doo. There was also a huge collection of vintage sled toys provided by a member.
All money raised goes to either the Pennsylvania State Snowmobile Association or the Pennsylvania Vintage Snowmobile Club to make Pennsylvania statewide events better, and for the promotion of the sport.
EVMSS is just one of a series of PA-based events we put on all year long. Cost for entries and swappers are 3 dollars per machine or space. Time is 8 AM to 5 PM, Saturday, September 1, 2001. The event will be held rain or shine and is located in the Northern Tier School District Office parking lots along Coates Avenue, in Elkland PA.
