derby celebrates 39th anniversary

Amsnow
The World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River, Wisconsin, marks its 39th anniversary with a weeklong schedule that kicks off Sunday, January 13th. One of the highlights will be the annual Friday Night Thunder spectacle of high-powered snowmobiles racing under the lights. That's Friday January 18th. Following that action-packed event will be the traditional schedule of Saturday racing events, highlighted by the 3PM start of the 39th annual World Championship Race.

An hour before the 25-lap finale on the high speed oval, track officials will host the Sno-Cross World Championship for the bump-and-grind crowd.

Derby week will feature virtually every aspect of oval and sno-cross racing to include a schedule of vintage racers, Kitty Cat competitions, and a full slate of professional and amateur events.
