On Tuesday the dyno runs of Shoot-Out sleds found Cat's ZRT 800 with 144
horsepower. That compares to the Ski-Doo Mach Z at 154 and the Indy XCR 800 at 150 HP.

The 700cc triples were led by Polaris' XCR 700 at 139 HP. Yamaha's SRX 700
delivered 134.1 HP and the Mach 1 showed 134 HP on DynoTech's SuperFlow
equipment.

The Ski-Doo MXZ 670 HO led all 700cc single-piped sports sleds with 129 HP.
The Indy XC 700 was second with 125 horses while the Yamaha SX 700 registered 110.6 HP and the new ZR 700 from Arctic Cat managed 105.4 HP.

In the 600cc single-pipe category, The new Ski-Doo MXZ 600 had the best power showing with 107 HP. The Indy XC 600 was next with 105. Cat's fuel-injected ZR600 managed 99.8 HP and Yamaha's new SX600 single-pipe triple delivered 96.6 ponies.

Horsepower is one element of performance. How the Shoot-Out sleds acquit themselves on Friday, December 11th, may be another story in itself.
