dayco belts to operate under new name

Carlisle Companies Inc. recently bought the Industrial Power Transmission assets from Dayco Products, LLC. The business will operate as an independent division of Carlisle. Mike Gearhardt has been named as President and CEO of the new division, to be called Carlisle Power Transmission Products, Inc. Gearhardt had previously served as Executive VP of the Dayco Industrial Division.
Carlisle will retain the trademark names of "Max" and "Ultimax" aftermarket snowmobile drive belts so consumers will to continue to purchase familiar names. In the coming months, there will be a transition from Dayco to Carlisle in the company name and packaging.
