Points of interest It took us a little longer than usual to finally get carbides that fit these skis. They take the Stud Boy CAP-S2198 or R2198 wearbars and many dealers don't stock them, so we suggest ordering themdirectly from Stud Boy. A word of caution here, if you attempt to use a different wearbar you will probably end up having to drill larger, or extra, holes in the skis.
We also initially used the stock Arctic Cat ski-rubbers/stoppers when we put the skis on our CFR because the Curve ones were too tight a fit, but the second set of Curve XS stoppers we used on the Turbo on our late season ride slipped on easily.
Sean tells us their Curve stoppers are purposely tight in order to eliminate slop, and therefore, excess wear. He also said, "One thing to keep in mind is we designed these skis to be a very versatile ski and do everything well. As we grow, release new products, and add value to the industry, we will always strive for perfection."
After our season-long test we think Curve XS is on the right path. These skis make a positive addition to any trail sled. A big thumbs-up here! More info:
