Crazy Mountain Motorsports Inc. will continue producing their Crazy Mountain Extreme (CMX) sleds this season. This year's offerings will include: an 800cc Polaris twin with electronic reverse, Delta 3 reeds and PSI pipes; a 900cc Arctic Cat twin with Delta 3 reeds and PSI twin pipes; and a 1200 PSI twin with Delta 3 reeds and PSI twin pipes. The 1200 is based on a 900 Arctic Cat crankcase and crankshaft, but it will also feature a Polaris conversion ignition system and cylinder pressure-controlled exhaust valves. Incidentally, the 1200 is Crazy Mountain Motorsports' most popular model.
All sleds come standard with Wahl Bros. 10 tooth anti-ratchet drivers, carbon fiber trailing arms with chromoly head piece, chromoly steering post, steering hoop, handle bars, trigger thumb, hand warmers and torque arms on the rear suspension. As always, track length and hood color are left up to the consumer to choose.
The big news for the 2004 season is CMX's upgrade options, which consists of titanium trailing arms, radius rods, steering hoop, steering post, handle bars and rear suspension torque arms.
Newly designed flat top seats will also make a debut on the CMX sleds along with taller handle bars. Together these components make it easy to switch from a sitting to a standing position while climbing the great steep.
For those of you not familiar with Crazy Mountain Motorsports Inc., the company has been making and selling sleds since 1996. The company only produces six CMX snowmobiles at a time, making it possible to always integrate the newest designs and technology into its sleds. The company prides itself on its small size and personal service and even boasts that when customers pick up their new sled, the company takes them on an orientation ride to introduce them to their new machine and answer any questions.
