cnn quickvote poll backs sled use in national parks

This past Thursday CNN polled its internet readers about the use of snowmobiles in Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks.
The poll offered three options - complete ban of snowmobiles; setting a limit on the number of sleds allowed into the parks; or, leaving things just the way are now. Of course, such a poll setup gives the "ban them" answer an edge as the "allowing" sleds is broken down into two parts.
Nonetheless, results of the CNN.com QuickVote Poll of Feb 21, 2002 - which asked: "Would you rather see snowmobiles at Yellowstone and Grand Teton banned altogether or limited?" - saw 50 percent of the respondents saying leave things just as they are!
Of a total 3,556 votes cast in the poll, 33% (1156 votes) were for "Ban them all."
625 votes (18%) called to "Limit how many can go in."
And, yes, 1,775 votes (50%) were cast for leaving things as they are.
Or, better yet, fully two-thirds (68%) of the voters were okay with snowmobiles in the national parks!
