The third race of the CMSA Justice Brothers Super Speed Run/Official ISR World Record Series on Feb. 23rd in Annandale, Minn., went fabulously with great weather, sunshine and fast racing.

Darrin Weber on the Jaws/Jorgenson snowmobile blasted out a new top speed for the CMSA 1000 foot speed series with a run of 171.428 mph! The crowd and racers went wild after seeing this spectacular run. In an attempt to back it up for a new world record, after finding out that the motor had some damage from the first run, they ran a 163.946 mph, just short of the 167 mph needed.

The weather was fantastic with sunshine, temperatures in the high 20's, and only a slight breeze from the side of the track. The two tracks were shaved at a length of 3,500 ft., making for safe shutdown for the fast snowmobiles in competition. Over 65 entries ran over 250 passes on the Pro Track, setting eight new world records. Eighteen of these entries ran at or above the 130 mph mark for a lot of fast competition. The Fun Run Track had over 75 entries making over 450 passes that included trail stock snowmobiles and a number of cool vintage racers who had a blast running the 1,000 ft. track. In all, over 700 passes were made on Saturday.

Jack Hendricks of Hendricks Racing from Rhinelander, Wis., set a new top speed in the 4-Stroke Pro Stock class, running 153.191 mph on his Yamaha RX1/CPR Rocket. This now sets the fastest speed for the fastest full body sled in 1,000 ft. Jack set a new record in the Stock 4-Stroke 3-Cylinder class on his 2008 Yamaha Nytro at 98.181 mph.

In close competition was Curtis Johnson on his Arctic Cat T-Cat 1400, setting a new record in the Lake Racer Open class at 149.470 mph. Ed Ensor on his Arctic Cat T-Cat 1180 set a new record in the Lake Racer class with a 147.189 mph, both of these T-Cats came from the Rockford and Sheridan, Ill., area to capture these titles. Shanon Disch of New Glarus, Wis., set a new record in the 4-Stroke Improved class at 138.019 mph on his 2004 Yamaha Warrior.

Jeremy Reid set a new record in the Trail Stock 700 class at 107.596 mph on his 2001 Yamaha SRX. Patty Olson in the Stock 600S class set a new record of 109.783 mph on her 2004 Arctic Cat F6. Keith Perry of Machesney, Ill., set a new record of 119.008 mph on his 2003 Arctic Cat F7 in the Super Twin Lake Racer class.

Winners of the Bellman Oil/Torco Contingency Series are Greg Christianson in Improved Stock, Kevin Loebrick of Pro Stock and Mark Anderson of Open Mod. All will receive a 5 gallon can of Torco Race Fuel and $100 in cash.
