There is a lot of potential for growth in this segment. As time marches on and the consumer market gains confidence in the technology, we're certain that performance levels will rise and prices will fall. This year, the Clean Cruisers come with some solid price tags. Yamaha is most expensive, listing at $9,149. Ski-Doo is priced at $8,399. Arctic Cat and Polaris are both suggested at $7,399.
Each of the big four has its own take on what a four stroke cruiser should be like. Yamaha went the high performance route. Polaris went ATV. Cat continued its micro car engine. Ski-Doo built its own V-twin. They all have a distinct character and feel. Our crew opted for the Yamaha RX-1 ER, with Polaris' Frontier Classic second, Cat's 4-Stroke Trail third and Ski-Doo's Legend V-1000 last.
