ccmq to stop organizing snowmobile competition

Amsnow
The Board of Directors of the Quebec Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (FCMQ), which operates the Circuit de courses de motoneiges du Quebec (CCMQ), has decided to withdraw from the organization of professional snowmobile competitions. The CCMQ will no longer sanction the snocross/cross-country championships which take place in the Lac-Saint-Jean region and northern Quebec.

The role of the FCMQ is supporter of membership-based clubs. The CCMQ will, therefore, continue to supervise amateur races and to train amateur race supervisors, a responsibility which it has held for some years now. This year, more than 80 club-organized races were supervised in this fashion.

CCMQ reports that the past season on the pro circuit has been very demanding for its team of officials. The FCMQ sends out thanks to the officials, sponsors, promoters and racers who have supported the CCMQ over the years- and wishes them the best of luck.
