Arctic Cat's Team Arctic race department released a special "pre-season" sneak preview for the 2004 race season to its potential racers. The preview outlined a new breed of Cat racer with rider-forward positioning.

Cat's spokesman stated: "The engineering department at Arctic Cat has been working diligently on the 440 Sno Pro. The 440 developmental team in conjunction with many racers has made major changes to the rider position, ergonomics, handling, suspension, turning radius and engine performance.
"Plans to display the Arctic Cat race sled are set for "Hay Days" in Lino Lakes, MN early September."

It should also be noted that production and the race school are slated for mid October, which is will be earlier than in past years.

Cat says that orders for the race sled are currently being accepted through the race department. The availability of these machines will be very limited to racers who apply by May 15.
