Chris Twomey, Arctic Cat's Chairman and CEO, has a new right hand man at Cat. The company named Claude J. Jordan its president and COO this week, and the 52-year-old Jordan hopes he will be an asset to the Minnesota snowmobile and ATV maker.

Jordan's past work experience includes executive positions at The Home Depot and General Electric. Jordan's last position was with The Home Depot as the company's vice president and the president of its THD At-Home Services business. The THD At-Home Services sales grew over 300 percent in the period Jordan was in charge. Jordan also worked for several years at General Electric as president and CEO of GE Water Technologies in Toronto, Canada.

"His extensive background in growing global businesses, organically and through mergers and acquisitions, will be strong assets to Arctic Cat and our shareholders," said Arctic Cat CEO Chris Twomey. Before The Home Depot and GE, Jordan was the vice president of corporate development for Memtec Limited, a global material sciences-based purification and separation business in Windsor, Australia. He was also president of Memtec's Memcor Americas division.

In addition to his executive achievements, Jordan is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and subsequently served in the United States Navy. He holds a bachelor's, master's and an M.B.A. and will be re-locating soon to Minnesota from Georgia with his wife and two children.
