cat announces 2007 model track exchange

Arctic Cat has announced a track exchange program for its 2007 F-Series and F Sno Pro models, which accept both 14- and 15-inch wide tracks.

Both the F-Series and F Sno Pro models come equipped with the Hacksaw track that is 15x128 with 1-in. lugs. That track (No. 2602-019) weighs 36 lbs. and Cat says it is the best all-around track for the sled for all conditions.

However, Cat says its dealers will exchange that track for either of two others, but 2007 sled owners must contact their local Cat dealer for details and exchange pricing, which varies by area.

The two other tracks available are:

• A Hacksaw 14x128x1-in. track (No. 2602-047) that weighs 34 lbs. Cat says that track makes the sled about 3.5 mph faster than the standard track on groomed, snow-packed trails.

• A Rip Saw 15x128x1.25-in. track (No. 2602-046) that weighs 41 lbs. This track will give better traction in loose, chewed up or deep snow, Cat says. In addition, Cat says a sled using this track will not be as fast as one using the production track with a 1-in. lug.

Cat emphasizes that to exchange a track you must contact your local dealer for all pertinent details.
