Arctic Cat's Captain Kirk Hibbert has decided to change his focus for the future. He has resigned his position as Team Manager for the high performance product group and will return to strictly research and development. Inside sources familiar with the move have indicated that Hibbert had felt bogged down with the management role and wanted to get back to what he feels he does best: development.

Cat's VP of Engineering, Roger Skime, said that Hibbert's position shift will be like "putting a turbo boost on an already successful Team Arctic factory race effort. He's going back to what he enjoys doing, which is high performance innovation. The realignment of resources should make it abundantly clear as to the depth of commitment toward innovative, high performance development, both on and off the racetrack."

Snowmobile Suspension Design Manager Doug Braswell has been named as Hibbert's successor. Braswell has led the suspension team for the past three years. The Smart Ride system is among his best-known accomplishments.
