british columbia raises avalanche awareness

Recently, the British Columbia Snowmobile Federation (BCSF) has been working to raise avalanche danger awareness. In this effort, the BCSF has partnered with explosives manufacturer CIL for a supply of safety flares at a reduced cost to local snowmobile clubs.
The BCSF hopes that the wider availability of the flares will help save lives. It may also be used as a possible fund-raiser to assist the Canadian Avalanche Foundation.
