bonanza stormer

Amsnow
Bonanza Industries, Inc. was a recreational product manufacturing subsidiary of Bell Electronics Corporation. Their product line included mini bikes, mini buggies and boats. In June of 1970, the firm announced the "Stormer" snowmobile would be available for the 1971 season.

This Rupp "look alike" appeared poised to put the industry on its ear. But before the Stormer could take its place in the market, an announcement was made in February of 1971, that Bonanza Industries was out of business. An "informed source" stated that "There is no
Bonanza snowmobile."

Bonanza Industries apparently had failed to inform the parent company
of the Stormer project until it was well into the venture. The "informed source" stated that those who had primary responsibility for launching the project were no longer associated with Bonanza Industries.

The sled was shown at the Minneapolis Trade Show in June of 1970 but
as far as I know, none were ever sold. I'd like to think that there is at least one sled that escaped the crusher- I think it could have been a winner.
