bill could close idaho wilderness

Cathy Jourdain of the American Council of Snowmobile Associations reports that a U.S. House committee has passed along a bill that would tie-up 301,500 acres of Idaho wilderness, forbidding any mechanized or motorized access.
This would especially hurt snowmobilers as more than 250,000 acres of this wilderness includes some of the best snowmobiling areas in Idaho.
The Idaho Wilderness bill still must pass the full House, then it will move on to the Senate. You can help as the debate shifts from the House Resource Committee to the full House. So contact your Congressman when he's home for Congress' summer recess in August and urge him or her to vote against this bill and keep the lands open to recreationalists!
